Mi AI Amigo

Privacy & consent

Before a child uses Mi AI Amigo, their parent or guardian reads this notice and gives consent.

Last updated: October 2026

We never record children's voices.

What Mi AI Amigo is

  • A bilingual (Spanish and English) app for children aged 3–6. It practises words and sounds from lessons approved by grown-ups.
  • The tutor only chooses how to practise an approved lesson. It doesn't invent content, doesn't chat freely, and never asks the child for personal details.
  • It is a pilot programme for daycares and families.

What we save

  • About the grown-up: email address, display name, and when you agreed to this notice.
  • About the child: only a nickname, an animal picture as avatar, and an age range (for example 4–5). We don't ask for their full name or birth date.
  • About learning: which lesson and activity was done, whether the answer was right, whether help was needed, which picture was chosen, and how long the session lasted.
  • Notes grown-ups write, and practice suggestions a grown-up approved.

What we never collect

  • We never record the child's voice. The microphone isn't used: the app only plays words aloud and a grown-up taps the result.
  • No camera, photos, location or contacts.
  • No ads, we don't sell data, and children's data is not used to train AI models.

How AI is used

  • Children never talk to the AI. The AI helper is only in the grown-up dashboard.
  • When a grown-up uses it, only the lesson, word, activity and result picked from a list are sent. Never the nickname, notes or the child's history.
  • Each suggestion is checked automatically to use only words from the lesson, and a grown-up approves it before it is used.

Who can see progress

  • The parent or guardian who created the profile.
  • The daycare teacher, only if the parent enters their class code. It can be removed at any time.
  • The Mi AI Amigo team reviews flagged content, without the child's nickname, and accesses data only to keep the service safe and running.

Supervision and time

  • A grown-up should be nearby during every lesson. Leaving a lesson asks a grown-up question.
  • Grown-ups choose session length, instruction language and which activities are used, and can pause learning.

Keeping, deleting and withdrawing

  • Progress is stored online until you delete it.
  • From the dashboard you can delete the learning history or the whole child profile at any time.
  • You can withdraw your consent at any time. After that, no new lessons can start and no children can be added.

Changes and questions

  • If this notice changes, we will ask you to agree again before continuing.
  • If you have questions, talk to your daycare or email the Mi AI Amigo team: info@miaiamigo.com.
